The Requirement
The Hilton Liverpool is a stylish, modern hotel situated in the heart of the Liverpool One leisure development, less than a mile from Liverpool Lime Street station. The hotel were undertaking some refurbishment works and required a new window display to improve the aesthetics of the entrance to the hotel. In addition to the refurbishment works, a new members only late night venue ‘Playground’ was opening up at the hotel which also required various works. London Display Graphics who are part of the MJ Group were approached by the Hilton Liverpool and Playground to carry out the following works:

• Create and install site hoardings for Playground, to shield the ongoing development works of the new establishment;
• Create and install new decorative window display for the entrance to the Playground;
• Print and install Playground’s internal bathroom panels.

MJ’s Approach
After assessing the site and surroundings, our Project Managers liaised with the design team on their specific requirements and set out to deliver a high quality visually appealing external hoarding, window manifestation and internal graphic manifestation for Playground.

Production
We produced the external hoarding, window manifestation and interior bathroom panels all at our production house in Clerkenwell, London.  

The hoarding was created using high gloss black di-bond sheeting to which a bronze vinyl was then cut, and applied. The window graphics were similarly created with black and shaded elements printed using our Arizona flatbed UV printers onto a bronze vinyl.

The internal bathroom panels inside Playground were cut to size, printed on di-bond sheeting with a high gloss seal and installed on site.

To ensure consistency in branding and quality which also involved colour matching, production carried out various testing and proofing stages prior to the install.

Installation
The installation team had 3 days to get the exterior hoarding and window manifestations in place. The bathroom panels were installed over a 4 day period and sharing the workspace with 6-8 other other trades proved challenging as the team had to continuously move tools and ladders whilst at the same time protecting what they had already installed from other tradesmen. Whilst it wasn’t the most straightforward job our install guys stepped up to the challenge and were able to safely and securely complete the installation.

Results
With the skills and experience held by our London Display Graphics team, we were able to provide the Playground, Liverpool with high impact, memorable graphic displays, which not only covered up the construction site but was utilised as a fantastic platform for the advertising and promotion of the new members club.
